GARFA WOMEN’S DIVISION ONE LEAGUE KICKS OFF THIS WEEKEND

The 2025/26 Greater Accra Regional Football Association (GARFA) Women’s Division One League is set to kick off this weekend, Saturday, 11th October 2025, across all approved venues in the region.

This season’s competition will feature 20 clubs, grouped into two zones (Group A and Group B), with 10 teams in each.

The upcoming league promises to be thrilling and fiercely competitive, as all participating teams aim to top their respective zones and qualify for the Regional Championships. Success at that stage could secure promotion to the prestigious Women’s Premier League in the next season.

Among the top contenders this season are Faith Ladies and Berry Ladies, both relegated from the Women’s Premier League last season. They will be joined by strong challengers like Sissamba Ladies, who made it to the Regional Championships earlier this year but fell short of qualification, along with several other ambitious clubs.

Fans can look forward to an exciting season of women’s football in the Greater Accra region.
