The Greater Accra Regional Football Association (GARFA) has staged the second edition of its 2025/26 season SOCCABET Monthly Awards, honouring standout performers in the Division Two League.

The ceremony took place at the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) Conference Room in Accra and was headlined by title sponsors SOCCABET. The event drew club executives, players, referees and other key stakeholders within the regional football fraternity.

The awards, which covered the months of October, November and December, celebrated excellence across four categories — Best Referee, Best Assistant Referee, Best Coach and Best Player — underscoring GARFA’s commitment to raising standards in the grassroots game.

OCTOBER HONOURS
Patrick Tutu was adjudged Best Referee for October, while Samuel Marmah Martey picked up the Best Assistant Referee award. Seshie Quarshie of Alajo United earned the Best Coach accolade after guiding his side to an impressive run of results, with Peter Azumah of Banana Inn FC named Best Player.

NOVEMBER STANDOUTS
In November, Sumaila Nazeef was recognised as Best Referee, with Emmanuel Aglago taking home the Best Assistant Referee award. Mohammad Bashar of True Life FA was honoured as Best Coach, while Michael Noumon of Tema United FC secured the Best Player award for his outstanding performances.

DECEMBER AWARDEES
Bethel Amponsah Narh emerged as December’s Best Referee, and Kamala Iddrisu was named Best Assistant Referee. Edmund Borketey of A5 Rences FC claimed the Best Coach award, while Emmanuel Yeboah of Desidero FC rounded off the year as Best Player.

The initiative, instituted by GARFA and sponsored by SOCCABET, in partnership with Ashlid Sports and Game TV, continues to serve as a platform to reward consistency, professionalism and excellence in the Division Two League. Beyond recognition, the awards are designed to inspire players, coaches and match officials to elevate performance levels as the competition intensifies in the months ahead.
