The Greater Accra Football Association’s(GARFA) women’s committee have had their first meeting.
Even though the meeting was an introductory one, but numerous issues were discussed by the committee.
The meeting was held on the 23rd June,2020 as the committee dissected prominent issues to enhance women’s football in the region.
The Chairman for the committee, Alhaji Abdul Karimu Oliver talked about the situation that all the clubs faced pre-pandemic such as financial hardship and about how going forward.
However, he truly wished the Committee will try its hardest to find ways to assist the clubs.
The committee deemed it necessary to bring media attention to the league and also train the various women’s team in order to be abreast with the use of social media to enhance their branding.
In addition, the members of the committee agreed to organize work shops for club owners to train them in terms of club management.
Meanwhile, the committee is made up of seven members as one person was absent .
The present members are as follows:
