The season began with a launching and kickoff by the GFA President, Mr. Kurt Okraku and the Chairman of Greater Accra Regional Football Association Mr. Samuel Aboabire (a.k.a Kataah). The curtain raiser which was an opening match of the league between Sporting Club FC vs Accra Five Star FC witnessed 6 outstanding goals which was an indicator of what great a season we were to experience.
8 Clubs made it to the Middle League (MSK Zilina FC, Accra Five Star FC, Accra Athletic FC, New Town Youth, Na God FC, Best XI FC, Validus FC and Rences FC) and in the nut shell, just one had to be crowned champion. Rences FC played against Na God FC at the middle league finals and they were crowned champions of the GARFA Division Two Middle League as they beat Na God FC 2 : 0 to make their way into the DOL.
