The Greater Accra Football Association met with its stake holders via the zoom app as they discuss series of issues prior to the covid- 19 and football.
The virtual meeting was scheduled on the 5th May, 2020 which saw the league board meeting the division 2 clubs representatives on the way forward amidst this pandemic era that have made the season to be in a standstill.
The division 2 league was slated to start in the middle of March as preparation was really intense, teams have already presented their official jersey kits and fixtures were already released before everything shutdown due to the covid-19.
The league board in discussion with the various team reps made it known to them about some pitches that will serve as a league centers when the season resumes.
However numerous club reps raised concerns on how the virus has affected them as the season could not start as scheduled.
Some clubs members shared great ideas on how to work things out in order to get back on track after the covid-19.
The chairman for the virtual meeting, Mr Samuel Aboabire addressed the issues raised by the club members and stated on how to go forward.
He made it clear to club reps, “ The RFA is riding on the shoulders of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and decisions cannot be taken without their approval”.
He furtherly encouraged the various clubs reps to endure this crisis as they fight the pandemic.
The district chairmen were also engaged to bring out their ideas and opinions on the affairs of the RFA and other general issues.
The last virtual meeting was held on the 11th May, 2020 with the Women teams. They were engaged thoroughly on how to get the season running after the pandemic.
