Desidero Football Academy emerged the Ultimate Champions of the Greater Accra Inter District Juvenile U17 Club Championship last Saturday.
The two finalist Desidero FC of Fadama and Mal FC from Kasoa have all qualified for the upcoming National Juvenile U17 Inter Club Champions league.
Both teams eased past their opponents after beating them 3 – 0 and 2 – 1 at the semi finals stage.
Meanwhile, the final game which started slowly ended after a pulsating 1-1 draw within regulation time.
Desidero who took the lead in the first half could not hold on to the lead as they allowed Mal FC who played with 10 men in the second half to get the equalizer.
Desidero FC , won the game via penalty shootout on a 4 – 3 score line.
The Regional chairman, Mr. Samuel Aboabire with his vice Mr. Kwao were present at the prestigious tournament.
Also, some stakeholders graced the occasion. The likes of Mr. Hayye Yartey of Cheeter FC, Mr. Bennard of Davor Sports and other dignitaries were all impressed about the performance of the teams and the organisation of the championship.
