The newly elected Garfa chairman Mr. Samuel Aboabire has reaffirmed his unflinching support for the growth and development of Women Football in the Greater Accra Region.
He made this known when he met with representatives of all the Women’s Teams in the region at the RFA Secretariat.
Upon listening to the challenges confronting the clubs, Chairman Kattah revealed to the clubs his administration with immediate effect, will absorb all the Officiating Fees for the clubs during the League Season.
He also mentioned that all districts under his jurisdiction will be compelled to establish Under 17 Women’s Team across the region. This he believe will serve as a bleeding grounds for the Regional and even National teams to scout from.
He also believe this innovation may go a long way to curb the high rate of Teenage Pregnancy cases bedeviling our communities.
Grading of the Women’s League Centres was high on the agenda.
The clubs appreciated the down to earth Regional Chairman and prayed God to guide and bless his reign.
