The Greater Accra Regional Football Association on February 4, 2023 duly launched its GARFA Women Division 1 League 2022/23 Football Season at 2pm at the La McDan Town Park.
The launching was honored by the Chairman of Greater Accra Regional Football Association, Mr. Samuel Aboabire and his Vice, some representatives of GARFA Exco,the representation of Women in Sports and other dignitaries from the football fraternity.
The Chairman of the GARFA Women Division 1 League Committee, Alhaji Mustapha Karim Mohammed ushered GARFA Chairman and his entourage and the President of Women in Sports to officially kickoff the match for the commencement of the 2022/23 football season.
Jama groups graced the occasion with wonderful chants and spectatorship was splendid.
The launching witnessed three amazing goals after two matches travelled their full 90minutes length.
The first teams which played were FC Epiphany Warriors vs GRA Ladies and it ended in a 1:1 tie.
The second match played was between Immigration Ladies FC vs Halifax Queens FC and it also witnessed a loner goal against Immigration Ladies FC.
This season’s competition promises to be intense as it is subject to a promotion and relegation system.
