The Chairman of Greater Accra Regional Football Association met with the Technical Directorate and Development Coaches of GARFA to welcome and congratulate newly appointed Development Coaches.
The meeting also emphasized the different District allocations each of the new appointees were to operate.
The Chairman of the Technical Directorate (GARFA), Alhaji Dauda Solomon Lutterodt, stressed that the work of development coaches would be to identify and nurture the players until they are fully grown and matured. The essence is to recruit raw talent for the region for further development.
Coach Burton Asare Wilson, who has served the region in the capacity of development coach, admonished the new coaches to maintain a good relationship with Club owners and parents of wards/players which are scouted. He emphasized on the need to keep data of their work, especially contacts of Club owners and players for efficient follow-up. He added that, a high decorum of diligence must be demonstrated throughout their scouting activities and as well acknowledging team owners on their decision.
GARFA Chairman, Mr. Samuel Aboabire congratulated the newly appointed Development Coaches for the region. He encouraged them to work hand in hand with their respective District Chairmen to achieve the collective interest of the Association.
GARFA has produced a total of 8 Development coaches for the various districts.
