GARFA Monthly Awards 2023/24: Recognizing Outstanding Performance in Football – February Edition

Accra, March 27, 2024 – The Accra Sports Stadium was abuzz with excitement as the GARFA Monthly Awards for the January 2023/24 football season unfolded, honoring remarkable achievements across various categories.

Among the highlights of the ceremony was the acknowledgment of three players who achieved hattricks in January, setting the stage for a month of remarkable football prowess.

In the category of Best Referee, Bless Adjetey Confidence, a class III referee, was lauded for his exemplary officiating during February’s matches. Meanwhile, Isaac Amoh, a Class I referee, clinched the title of Best Assistant Referee, earning recognition from the Referee Assessors Committee of GARFA.

The prestigious Best Coach award was bestowed upon Daniel Awuni of Tema United FC, with his strategic leadership earning him praise from the GARFA League Board Committee and Technical Directorate.

Individual excellence was also celebrated, with Julius Avinu of Okornowomi FC clinching the title of Male Division Two Best Player, and Jessica Benni of Thunder FC securing the accolade for Women Division One Best Player. Coach Edna Quargraine of GRA Ladies FC was honored as the Best Coach in the women’s division, further highlighting the depth of talent in grassroots football.

Vice Chairman of GARFA, Mr. Gabriel Godwin Kwao, extended his congratulations to all the award winners and nominees, emphasizing GARFA’s commitment to nurturing excellence in the sport.

The ceremony underscored GARFA’s dedication to promoting and celebrating the finest talents in grassroots football, embodying the spirit of grassroots football.
