GARFA MONTHLY AWARDS 2023/24 FOOTBALL SEASON FOR THE MONTH OF DECEMBER.

On Thursday February 1, 2024 at the Accra Sports Stadium, GARFA had its Month of December Award Scheme. Outstanding results and statistics were achieved by the nominees. It was a duo program having the GARFA Division Two Stakeholders Meeting preceding the Monthly Awards ceremony having most club owners present.

The same award categories were emphasized. The ceremony started with awarding of our gallant Hattrickers for the month of December and 8players were shortlisted. John Otoo of Real Ebony Football Club had a dual hattrick while Foster Avinu and Raphael Abayateye of Okor Nowomi, Emmanuel Serbie of Soccer Bridge, Emmanuel Anokye and Jacob Lartey of Sporting Club Accra fc, Mohammed Tamim of Madina Republic FC all had a hattrick each from Match Week 5-8.

In the Best referee category, the nominees were Patrick Tutu Ampadu, a class I referee, Ishmael A. Danso, class I referee and Regan Danso Asem, also a class I referee. The Referee Assessors Committee adjudged Patrick Tutu Ampadu as the best referee for the month of November.

The presentation was done by Mr. Christian Atsatsa , Referees Appoointment Committee Chairman.

In the category of Best Assistant Referee, the nominees were, a class III referee, Patrick Nana Dua Ofori, a Class I referee Joseph Abbey and Kingsford Addico a class III referee.

The Referee Assessors Committee of GARFA adjudged Solomon Dembang Kugre as the Best Assistant referee.

Presentation was done by GARFA Referees Manager, Mr. Annan Lomotey.

The Best Coach category saw the likes of Awudu Issaka of FC Raisa having 12points after playing 4 matches, drawing 0, losing 0, scoring 14 goals, and conceding 4 goals, Douglas Addy representing Immigration FC who played 4matches, won 3, drew 0, lost 1, had 11 goals, conceded 2 goals and accrued 9points. Michael Osei of New Life FC also played 4 matches, won 3, drew 1, lost none, had 11 goals, conceded 3 goals and accrued 10points.

True Democracy also got shortlisted and was represented by Ricky Otis Mundi Yamoah. He played 4matches, had 3wins, Drew 1, Lost none, scored 5 goals, conceded 3goals and accrued 10points. 

The GARFA League Board Committee and Technical Directorate adjudged Awudu Issaka as the Best Coach for the month of December.

The Best Player Category included Benjamin Arhin of Dansoman Wise XI FC who played 4 matches out of which he had 4mvp and 1goals.Julius Avinu of Okor Norwomi FC also had 3mvp and 5goals whereas Toffic Sulemana of Mountaineers fc had 3mvp and 2goals after playing 4matches.

Benjamin Arhin of Dansoman Wise XI was adjudged the best player for the month of December.

The best referee received an award plaque, whistle, caution cards and a referee uniform, assistant referee received an award plaque, whistle, caution cards, referee flag, referee uniform and whistle, best coach received an award plaque, coaches tactical board, stop watch and whistle whiles the best player got an award plaque, football boot and a shin guard.

The Chairman of GARFA, Mr. Samuel Aboabire commended the efforts of all the award winners and the nominees alike.
