On March 14, 2023, The Chairman of Greater Accra Regional Football Association, Mr. Samuel Aboabire, his Vice, Mr. Gabriel Godwin Kwao and Mr. Michael Fiaduse, who double up as the Chairman for Juvenile Competitions Committee and an Exco member, met with 8 Development coaches, 6 GFA appointed Scouts for the region and 12 District Chairmen to design a roadmap for the year.

The meeting focused on arrangement to recruit young talents from the various districts to form Greater Accra regional U-20 team, for possible selection into the Black Satelite National U-20 team. The U-20’s are usually recruited from the Division Two and Three sides of the Regional Football Association which are administratively run by Regional and District Chairmen respectively. Hence the need for the Region, District, Scouts and Development Coaches to work together for the common good.

Again, the need to recruit young talents from the various Districts in Greater Accra to form the Regional U-17 team to participate in the KGL Tournament in Kumasi in May. The Juvenile Clubs are run at the District level, hence the appropriate avenue for District Chairmen, Scouts and Development Coaches to work together to achieve a common goal for the U-17 Regional team.

Scouts and Development Coaches were encouraged by GARFA Chairman to work hand in hand with District Chairmen at the various districts as they carry out their tasks.
They were also advised to establish good relations with Club owners from where players are scouted and keep proper records of their activities.

The Regional Chairman assured the entire Technical Directorate of his commitment to providing resources and logistics to make their operations successful.
He added that, his doors are always opened to address concerns which emerge as they execute their duties.
