GARFA INSPECTS MATCH VENUES AS NEW SEASON APPROACHES

The Greater Accra Regional Football Association has embarked on an intensive field inspection exercise across the Region to ascertain the true state of various League Centers.

The representatives were able to tour 24 football pitches as the exercise started from the Tama Wonders Park in Ada through to Bedeku and Okor at the Salt Winning sites in Akplamanya near the coascapit.

The next destinations was Tema, Teshie, OSU, Labadi ,Madina, Abelenkpe, Darkurman and other suburb within the capita.

The various fields were uniformed with erosions , substandard goal posts and filths as residents turn the fields to a refuse damp site.

The inspection team has advised two leagues centers be closed down in the region until some major repair works has been executioned.

However ,Club officials who met the inspection team on duty were very happy about the initiative.

The RFA Chairman, Mr. Samuel Aboabire aka Kattaa expressed his satisfaction about the good job the committee did and promised to make all efforts to shape up all the fields for better football development in the region. He engaged stake holders of the badly damaged fields for immediate solutions. The committee has since submitted their full reports and recommendations to the RFA for an action plan to be designed in relation to the above problems.
