The Greater Accra Regional Football Association (GARFA) chaired by Mr. Samuel Aboabire and his Executive Council Members on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, duly launched the GARFA Division Two Middle League at the GHALCA Conference Hall of the Accra Sports Stadium.
In attendance were Joseph Wellington (Former FIFA and CAF Instructor, Rtd FIFA Referee), Mr. Christian M. Atsatsa (GARFA Referees Appointment Committee Chairman, Rtd FIFA Referee, Chairman of Tema Referee Association), Mr. J.H Amenya (GARFA Referee Assessors Committee Chairman, Retired FIFA Referee) Mr. Annan Lomottey (GARFA Referees’ Manager, Member of GARFA Referees Assessors Committee), Mr. John Mensah (Rtd FIFA Referee and a member of GARFA Referee Assessors Committee).
The Middle League launch was followed by a ballot to allocate the qualified clubs into two groups and match schedules for the middle league fixtures.
The results of the balloting was two groupings. Group A, comprising of Still Believe fc, Danbort FC and Banana Inn fc whereas Group B comprised of Accra Athletics, Auroras fc and Desidero fc.
Fixtures were conclusively drafted and currently available on our Social media handles in graphics.
Kickoff for the Middle league is on Saturday June 17, 2023.
The GARFA Division Two Match Day Fixtures are as follows;
Match Day 1 – Saturday June 17, 2023
Match Day 2 – Wednesday June 21, 2023.
Match Day – 3 Sunday June 25, 2023.
FINALS – Sunday July 2, 2023
Group – A Winner vs. Group – B Winner.
The venue for the Middle league was reemphasized to be Accra Sports Stadium, where all matches will be telecasted live on Max TV.
