The district election in the region happened yesterday within 11 district .
The district football association election saw 12 candidates vying for the district chair position .
Even though ten candidates won on unopposed basis , the Accra West district presented two candidates for the chairmanship role .
The contest was between Emmanuel Akoagyiram and Faruk Zakari . Out of 15 votes Faruk Zakari had nine votes whiles Emmanuel Akoagyiram secured only six votes .

Accra West – Faruk Zakari
Accra North – George Boahen
Accra East – Mr Richard Boateng
Ga South – Nuru Mohammed
Ga East – Emmanuel Offoe
Ga North – Joseph Lamprey
Dangme- West – Emmanuel Pardjtey Opata
Dangme East – Ibrahim Amenmasor
Dangme South – John Mensah
Team Municipal – Michael Adu – Asare
Ashaiman District – Raphael Tommy
