Mr. Tommy Raphael who chairs the District led his exco to hold their 2023/24 Football Season Congress at the Ashaiman Saint Augustine Hall on November 2, 2023.
The Chairman of Greater Accra Regional Football Association, Mr. Samuel Aboabire graced the occasion with the District Chairman of Tema Metro and an Exco member of GARFA, Mr. Daasebre Adu Asare. There are 27 Division Three clubs competing in this season’s league at they kick starting on November 24,25 and 26, 2023. There are 40 clubs competing at the Juvenile and it is set to commence on December 16 and 17 2023.
The GARFA Chairman extended his goodwill message and commended the effort of the Catch Them Young policy thriving in the district.
On October 26, 2023, the Tema Metropolitan Football Association chaired by Rev. Daasebre Adu-Asare, held its annual Congress to usher the various members into the 2023/2024 Football Season. Apple Hotel at Tema Community 4 was where the whole action took place. The occasion welcomed the Chairman of the Greater Accra Regional Football Association, Mr. Samuel Aboabire and Mr. Tommy Raphael Executive Council Member of the GARFA, who double up as the Chairman for Ashaiman District Football Association.
New logos of the District, its Third Division and Juvenile were unveiled and the league duly launched. GARFA Chairman recommended the efforts of the Catch Them Young initiative and applauded the entire districts for their feats in the football fraternity.
The season’s Division Three league is scheduled to kick off on December 8,9 and 10, 2023. 30 clubs are to play in this year’s Division Three league season in three different zones of 10 clubs each. Only two clubs are to qualify from each zone into the middle league. The Juvenile league is also scheduled to kickoff on December 16, 2023. About 37 clubs are featuring in this year’s 2023/2024 juvenile football season
The Regional Chairman extended his goodwill message to all congress men and wished them best of luck for this season.
